Today we commemorated the World AIDS Day at the embassy. The day is actually tomorrow, December 1st, but since it’s a Saturday we did it today instead.
A candle was lit, we were given some info about the AIDS situation right now in Africa and we were visited by three persons from Wayowayo Africa, an NGO operating in Kibera. They had brought a lot of items that were produced and sold by them to help finance their activities. Of course the embassy staff bought a lot of stuff. I bought one of the giraffes for Love, a necklace for Aleksandra and a Kenya bracelet for myself.
