Installation of Windows 7

Idag har jag installerat Windows 7 build 7000 på en jobbdator – en Fujitsu Esprimo E5925. Installationen av operativsystemet gick väldigt snabbt och smidigt. Jag upptäckte att Microsoft redan släppt Windows 7 beta-drivrutiner för sin hårdvara – toppen. Efter ytterligare någon timma hade jag de viktigaste applikationerna installerade och kunde börja jobba. Jag kör den förstås vid sidan av min ordinarie Vista-burk så jag kan falla tillbaka på den om den Windows 7 skulle strula 🙂 Men hittills verkar det riktigt stabilt – och snabbt. Glöm dock inte installera uppdateringen KB961367, så att Windows inte saboterar dina mp3-filer på disken. |

Today I have installed Windows 7 build 7000 on a machine at work – a Fujitsu Esprimo E5925. The installation was very easy and fast. I noticed that Microsoft has released Windows 7 beta drivers for their hardware – great. After another hour I had installed the most important apps and could start working. Of course I keep my old Vista workstation in case I have some problems with Windows 7 – but I haven’t noticed anything so far. Don’t forget to install the update KB961367, to avoid corrupted mp3 files on your disk and network. |
